"My Hero Academia: You're Next" Delivers More of the Same

Title: My Hero Academia: You’re Next Director: Tensai Okamura Studio: Toho Genre(s): Action Rated: PG-13 (For violence and bloody images) Near the beginning of "My Hero Academia: You're Next" our main hero Deku and his teammates are on a rescue mission. While the opening is basically par the course for these movies, it dawned on me how much more confident and serious Deku was at the beginning here, as opposed to the past where he was nervous and still learning on the job. It's nice to know that after more than a decade of these movies, the main hero is capable of not only becoming stronger but also maturing to the point where I almost forgot how annoying he was when this franchise started. Pictures Genre(s): Musical Rated: G I don't know what has prompted me to review "George Balanchine's The Nutcracker," an odd 1993 movie adaptation of the popular Tchaikovsky ballet that I only saw once as a child in theaters way, WAY back in 1993! It was the only adaptation of the play I had seen in theaters (the other one I saw - "Nutcracker: The Motion Picture - was viewed on a well-worn tape I rented from Blockbuster). I remember enjoying the music and noticing "Home Alone" star Macaulay Culkin was the title character, but not much else. Title: Fifty Shades of Grey Director: Sam Taylor-Johnson Studio: Universal Pictures Genre(s): Drama Rated: R (For strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language) The biggest accomplish one could say about “Fifty Shades of Grey” is that I could honestly say that the appeal of seeing any sex in the film was literally dead before the first piece of clothing was even taken off. The best sex in movies involve passionate characters, sensual flirtation, and a deep chemistry between the two lead characters that make you want to see them express their love for each other on screen. Early on though our leading man Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) discusses with naïve virgin Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) “I won't touch you until all the necessary paperwork has been signed.” You know you're in trouble when your lead character is essentially asking for a prenup just to get to first base with you.
