Betty Boop is a character that doesn't get a lot of respect. Despite being a trailblazer for women in animation, she was constantly accused of being a sexist character for men to ogle over (this may be because many of the shorts famously would include one frame of her topless in all of her cartoons for many years). Yet in "Judge for a Day" we see how Betty Boop is not only a smart character, she is chastised for being smart AND beautiful! Her dreams of being the brains of the town are even more relatable when you realize she's smarter than everyone else in town. Thankfully, this is one of the times when the smart, beautiful woman comes out on top, and you can savor that moment above.
